Small-boat Sailor; Instructor and day-sailor

Lindsey holds an Advanced Coastal Cruising Instructor certificate from the American Sailing Association (ASA) and has been a regular instructor at California Sailing Academy in Marina del Rey, California.   He has been Commodore of two Yacht Clubs in Southern California (South Bay Yacht Racing Club and the Marina Venice Yacht Club) and is a member of the International Order of the Blue Gavel. For several years he was also one of Wind N Sea Sailing club’s skippers, taking the time to teach classes in navigation, marlinespike seamanship, radio operation, sailing theory, sail trim and a host of other related subjects. 

Friends and family are always welcome to sail with Lindsey and his wife Kim, a former racer.  Their Morgan 27, Celerity, with its dark green hull (giving it the nickname Celery) is frequently seen on Southern California waters as they sail to weather or to lee.  Elliott-Pattison recently outfitted their vessel with bright new Dacron sails, which they now use to the fullest – thanks Harry!
